PIESZCZOCH is a woolen kilim to hang on the wall, made based on an illustration by Ola Szmida.
Pieszczoch is part of the ILLU collection, for which the first pattern was created in 2019. We invite our favorite and, in our opinion, the most talented Polish illustrators to co-create ILLU! This time we transferred the illustration, whose author is Ola Szmida, into the language of kilim technique. In this pattern, we exceptionally used a colorful blue-pink warp, and embroidery elements also appear here.
The kilim was hand woven in our studio in Lodz. Wool used in production comes from textiles recycling. Thanks to using traditional weaving technique, the volume of production waste we make is very little – it fits in just one hand and is biodegradable.
The kilim is reversible and has colorful blue and pink fringes. Each kilim has small metal rings sewn onto it, making it easy to display on the wall.
They’re avaliable in 2 poster sizes and in limited edition (4 for every size). Every kilim is signed; bear a serial number and names of designer and maker. 2% of income is intended to charity.
Due to handmade production kilims may slightly differ from each other. This makes each one unique.
