Weaving kit for making coasters and other hand-woven projects. The set includes all the necessary tools for making woven coasters. The set is perfect as a gift for loved ones, or for yourself – for both adults and children! After making coasters, the weaving frame can be used to weave other beautiful ,mug rugs or wall hangings. Don’t worry if you’re not very skilled at weaving. In our manual you will find all the information and tips you will need as a person less experienced in the weaving craft.
he mug rugs weaving kit includes a foldable weaving frame with notches spaced 5 mm apart, a set of two plywood weaving needles, cotton thread for the warp, three skeins of colored wool yarn, creating a beautiful range of colors, a printed folder with instructions on how to assemble the loom and basic weaving techniques, and a PDF manual showing the entire process of weaving a mug rug. The set includes all the necessary tools for creating woven table decorations – you don’t have to buy anything else. The frame has a very simple design that school-age children can easily handle, although some help might be needed when assembling the frame 🙂 The instructions are written in easy, accessible language. Hand weaving is ver a calming and satisfying activity; it teaches patience and helps to develop manual skills.
The yarns included in the kit allow you to make up to 5 coasters! The weaving frame and needles included in the kit can be used later in any of our kits or patterns for weaving.
The set includes:
- flat weaving frame with external dimensions of 27×42 cm (maximum working space 21×34 cm) made of plywood
- weaving needles of 14cm and 20cm length
- yarn set: three balls of wool yarn with a total weight of about 150g. The set includes threads in random colors. If you want to receive threads in a specific color, please describe your preferences in the order note;
- cotton warp in a white color (100g)
- PDF manual
The instruction shows an easy step-by-step way to make your first weaving. You will also learn how to make diagonal lines and geometric patterns, and how to remove fabric from the loom and finish it.
